My Philosophy

The experience I have gained, both as an educator and a consultant has influenced the way I approach working with clients to achieve their business goals.

My philosophy in its simplest form is Learning. Learning about my clients. Helping my clients learn, building capabilities and long-term sustainability in the process.

Strategy

Strategy is about making an integrated set of choices to achieve positive business outcomes, and requires a plan – a commitment to implement.

Successful transformation, at an accelerated pace, only happens when there is understanding and alignment across the organization.

Leadership

Successful organizations invest in developing leadership capability at all levels, yet formal development programs only go so far.

Real learning, and improved performance, occur when leaders apply new or enhanced skills in their day-to-day roles in a structured, supported fashion.

Change

Change is ever present in today’s challenging business environment experienced at a pace and scale that has rapidly increased.

Effective change management is no longer just about communication and training.  It requires a more comprehensive approach that involves key stakeholders throughout the organization.

Bringing an insatiable curiosity, passion, and focus to every client situation, I also apply a unique set of skills to help you and your organization reach its potential.

Alignment
Able to see synergies and connections between multiple strategic initiatives bringing all the ‘puzzle pieces’ together and keeping the big picture in mind.

Synthesis
Able to summarize reams of information and details into the main points in written or visual formats (known as “Queen of the one pager”).

Framing
Able to clearly articulate the key theme or the ‘story we need to tell’ in unique ways including the necessary context to build understanding and buy-in.

Mentorship
Able to build trusted relationships with individuals from junior project team members to Senior Leaders providing guidance, coaching, and advice to enhance individual skills and build capabilities.

Able to design and facilitate leadership team offsites focused on shaping strategy and identifying priorities while developing team and leadership skills in the process.
